VASTUKOSHA QUALITY STANDARDS

Our Quality & Standards

Quality Begins With Clarity

At VastuKosha, quality is not limited to the physical appearance of a product.

For products associated with Vastu, astrology and traditional spiritual practices, customers also need clarity about what they are purchasing, how the product is described, what documentation applies, and how it should be cared for.

Our approach to quality therefore combines product selection, specification, preparation, documentation, packaging and transparent communication.

1. Product Selection

Products are selected with consideration to their intended category, construction, material and traditional application.

The specific selection criteria can differ from one product category to another. A gemstone, yantra, jewellery item and Vastu article cannot necessarily be assessed using the same criteria.

Where relevant, product-specific characteristics are disclosed on the individual product page.

2. Material & Construction

Where material information is relevant to the product, we aim to clearly identify the principal material and other important characteristics.

Depending on the product, this may include:

  • Metal or other base material

  • Gemstone or bead type

  • Finish

  • Construction

  • Dimensions

  • Weight

  • Design

  • Quantity

  • Other product-specific specifications

Customers should rely on the specifications stated for the particular product rather than assuming that all products within a category have identical characteristics.

3. Product Specifications

We aim to provide measurable and useful product information wherever reasonably applicable.

This may include dimensions, weight, size, quantity and other specifications.

Minor variations can occur because of manufacturing processes, measurement methods or the natural characteristics of certain materials.

Where exact specifications are material to a purchase, the product listing should be treated as the primary reference.

4. Natural Materials

Some VastuKosha products may contain natural materials.

Natural materials are inherently variable and may differ from photographs or from one individual item to another.

For example, natural gemstones and beads can exhibit variations in:

  • Colour

  • Tone

  • Pattern

  • Inclusions

  • Texture

  • Shape

  • Surface characteristics

These variations should not automatically be interpreted as defects.

Product-specific information will apply wherever a particular material requires additional qualification.

5. Preparation

Certain products may undergo product-specific preparation before being supplied.

Where preparation is an applicable part of a product's process, relevant information may be provided on the product page or accompanying documentation.

Preparation terminology is used in its applicable traditional or product-specific context and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a particular physical, medical, financial or other outcome.

6. Certification & Documentation

Some products may be supplied with additional documentation or certification, where applicable.

For products carrying an IHAS Certificate, the certificate may provide product-specific identification and related documentation.

Customers should examine the certificate supplied with their product and compare its details with the product and order information.

An IHAS Certificate should not be represented as a government approval, medical certification, laboratory test report or guarantee of results unless the specific document expressly establishes such a status.

Certificate Verification

7. Inspection Before Dispatch

Where applicable to our operating process, products are reviewed before dispatch for basic conformity with the relevant order and product specifications.

This may include checking matters such as:

  • Product identity

  • Quantity

  • Visible condition

  • Packaging

  • Applicable documentation

  • Order details

The scope of inspection can vary according to the nature of the product.

Visual inspection does not constitute a scientific, laboratory or specialist certification unless expressly stated.

8. Packaging & Presentation

Packaging is part of the customer experience and also helps protect products during handling and transportation.

We aim to package products appropriately for their nature and size, while including applicable documentation and product information where required.

Packaging materials, design and presentation may change from time to time without changing the underlying product specifications.

9. Care & Handling

The physical condition of a product can be affected by its use, storage and environment.

Where applicable, VastuKosha provides product-specific care instructions covering matters such as:

  • Cleaning

  • Water exposure

  • Chemicals

  • Perfumes and cosmetics

  • Heat

  • Moisture

  • Storage

  • Handling

Customers should follow the care instructions provided for their particular product.

10. Product Photography

We make reasonable efforts to present products accurately through photographs and product descriptions.

However, photographs may differ from the physical product because of:

  • Lighting

  • Camera settings

  • Screen/display settings

  • Photography conditions

  • Natural variations

  • Production variations

For products made from natural materials, an exact visual match with the product photograph cannot always be guaranteed unless specifically stated.

11. What Our Quality Standard Does Not Claim

VastuKosha's quality approach should not be interpreted as a claim that every product is:

  • Government certified

  • Scientifically proven

  • Medically effective

  • Guaranteed to produce a particular result

  • Identical to every other product of the same category

  • Independently laboratory tested

Where a product has a specific third-party test, certification or accreditation, the applicable information should be stated separately and specifically.

We believe quality claims should be supported by the nature of the underlying evidence.

12. Continuous Improvement

Our product range, suppliers, preparation processes, packaging and documentation may evolve over time.

Where improvements are made, our objective is to maintain or improve the consistency, clarity and customer experience associated with the product.

We also encourage customers to contact us when they identify a genuine discrepancy between a product listing, product documentation and the item received.

Our Quality Principle

Quality Means More Than Appearance.

For VastuKosha, quality means providing a product that is appropriately described, properly documented where applicable, suitably packaged and presented with clear information about its characteristics and use.

We aim to give customers the information they need to understand what they are purchasing and to make an informed decision.
