How to Use
Usage & Care Guide
Energise before first use
Soak in raw cow milk for 24 hours, then rinse with Ganga jal or clean water. Chant "Om Namah Shivaya" 108 times while holding the mala.
Wear or use for japa
Wear around the neck touching the skin, or hold in the right hand during meditation. Begin counting from the bead next to the Sumeru (guru bead).
Daily care
Apply a drop of sesame or sandalwood oil once a week to keep the beads supple. Avoid contact with soap, perfume, and chlorinated water.
Storage
Store in a clean cloth pouch or wooden box. Keep on your altar or puja space when not in use.
